Parrish Medical Center earns Top 100 SafeCare Hospitals® distinction
Only 2 percent of all US hospitals earn this SafeCare distinction
TITUSVILLE, FLA. (Jan. 24, 2017) —Parrish Medical Center (PMC) has earned the Top 100 SafeCare Hospitals® distinction from The SafeCare Group, based in Lexington, Kentucky.
According to the SafeCare Group, this distinction is not an award that hospitals receive but one that is earned based upon performance in the comprehensive, evidence-based metrics of the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) hospital value-based program (HVBP), readmissions reduction program (HRRP), and acquired complications reduction program (HACRP).
“These 100 hospitals are the top two (2) percent of all U.S. hospitals, representing the nation’s top performing hospitals in 40 evidence-based metrics of CMS HVBP, HRRP, and HACRP…This is truly an accomplishment for your hospital, its staff, and medical staff,” wrote Yisrael M. Safeek, MD, MBA, CPE, FACPE, CEO & chairman, The SafeCare Group, in his congratulatory email to Parrish.
“This is the latest evidence that our network of healthcare professionals, is providing the patients we are honored to serve with superior levels of quality, safety and healing patient experiences, while also lowering overall healthcare costs,” said George Mikitarian, PMC president and chief executive officer. “We are proud of our care partners [employees, physicians and volunteers] who share a commitment to placing the health and well-being of patients above all else.”
