You and your family can attend classes at Parrish Medical Center. Classes are conducted by the orthopedic team and will help you better understand your:
- Surgical procedure
- Options for services after surgery
- Rehabilitation process
- Home care
- Nutrition
- Pain control
You will also become familiar with Parrish Medical Center and your care team Our team willl be able to answer all of your questions at the session.
The objectives behind the Joint Replacement Education Class are to:
- Reduce anxiety related to your upcoming surgery.
- Learn what to expect before, during and after your surgery.
- Tour the Physical Therapy gym and inpatient orthopedic unit.
- Meet representatives from physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, discharge planning and home health to answer your questions.

Classes are held on two Wednesdays of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Surgical/Orthopedic Unit Education Room, on the 3rd floor
