Jess Parrish Medical Foundation Receives $14,058 Grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation

TITUSVILLE, FLA. (Feb. 8, 2024) – Jess Parrish Medical Foundation (JPMF) was recently awarded a $14,058 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to support Parrish Healthcare’s (PHC) Emergency Response Team (ERT) with fire safety emergency preparedness training. Funds from the grant will be used to purchase a Bullseye™ Digital Fire Extinguisher Training System, fulfilling a significant need within Parrish Healthcare.

“The Bullseye™ Digital Fire Extinguisher Training System will provide the employees, physicians and volunteers of Parrish Healthcare with the life-saving skills necessary to ensure safety for all in the event of a fire,” said Ericka Jacobs, emergency services director. “Having the appropriate tools on hand makes all the difference in allowing us to effectively serve our community and all those we have the privilege to serve.”

During PHC’s Fire Response Educational Summit held on January 17, Titusville Fire Department partnered with the ERT to provide hands-on training of the “The Bullseye™ system; knowledge of fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations; the Joint Commission Environment of Care and Life Safety standards; and PHC’s fire response plan and protocols designed to maintain and restore operations during emergency incidents.

“On behalf of the Foundation, I want to thank the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and Britt and Jeff Diaz, our local Firehouse Subs Titus Landing franchise owners for recognizing our needs and awarding funding to provide this equipment,” said JPMF Board Chair, Randall Coleman. “Providing our Emergency Response Team with this training tool is crucial for them to successfully do their jobs.”

For the past 18 years, donations have been the driving force behind Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation® supporting first responders and public safety organizations nationwide.
