George Mikitarian has led Parrish Medical Center (PMC) as President/CEO since 2001. He began his
tenure with PMC in 1996 as Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Mikitarian is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives with a Doctorate in
Healthcare Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a master's degree in Health
Services Administration from Indiana University School of Medicine and bachelor's degree in Health
and a Physical Education from Bridgewater State College.
On behalf of PMC, Dr. Mikitarian has been awarded several honors, including Citizen of the Year
by Florida Today/Gannett and a Junior Achievement Spirit of Achievement recipient.
Under his leadership, PMC was one of the nation's first replacement facilities to be constructed
using evidenced-based healing design. Today, PMC is internationally recognized for its healing
environment. PMC was voted America's #1 Healing Hospital by the Baptist Healing Trust for
cultivating a culture of loving service for three consecutive years.
Other accomplishments include:
- Opening Florida's first Silver LEED certified 'green' outpatient center in May 2007
- Earning Modern Healthcare's Spirit of Excellence award for service.
- Earning more Joint Commission disease-specific Gold Seals than all but one other in the state of Florida, including primary stroke (1st in Central Florida), diabetes, congestive heart failure, and wound care, with three more pending acute coronary syndrome (to be 1st in state), breast cancer (to be 1st in state ), and palliative care (to be 1st in the state ).
- Receiving the nation's first Discovery Award for exceptional patient experiences from Starizon and the Centers for Health Design.
- Ranking among the top 20% American hospitals for quality cardiac care according to CMS data.
- Developing a first-of-its-kind Health Village for senior health services involving the preservation of historic homes
- Earning United Way of Brevard Chairman's Circle Award for civic and charitable contributions to the community.
- Receiving the Commissioner's Business Recognition Award from the Florida Education Foundation and Florida Department of Education in honor of outstanding commitment to improving education

Tim Skeldon serves as Parrish Medical Center's senior vice president and chief financial officer. He brings 17 years of professional experience to the medical center.
Under his leadership, PMC has maintained the organization's A+ credit rating.
Prior to assuming his present position in 1999, he was Vice President/Chief Financial Officer at Central Florida Regional Hospital, Sanford, Florida. He also has been Controller at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Florida, Columbia Medical Center, Sandford, Florida and Columbia Park Medical Center, Orlando, FL; and Senior Accountant with Ernst & Young, Orlando, Florida.
He graduated from the University of Central Florida in August 1985 where he received his bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Skeldon went on to receive his master's degree in Accountancy in December 1986.
He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Florida Association for Managed Care Professionals (FAMCP), Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He is a Fellow Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Christopher A. McAlpine serves as Senior Vice President Professional Services/Administration. Mr. McAlpine received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, and a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. His educational background also includes a specialty degree in risk management from Northeastern University, Boston. He has several published articles on topics including medical malpractice, physician recruitment and medical staff relationships.
Mr. McAlpine's PMC responsibilities include management of outpatient clinical departments: Cardiopulmonary Department, Diagnostic Imaging department, Pharmacy Department, and Clinical Laboratory. He provides operational oversight for Corporate Compliance and Physician Support Inc. Additionally, he is licensed in Risk Management and serves as In-House Hospital Legal Counsel.
Mr. McAlpine provides leadership and direction for ongoing growth and development of PMC Center's of Excellence product lines for Cancer and Cardiology, as well continued development of Parrish Medical Center's current Intensivist and Hospitalist Programs.
Mr. McAlpine serves as co-coordinator for American Cancer Society's North Brevard Relay for Life. He serves on the boards of the Central Florida Health Forum, Hospice St. Francis, the Brevard Symphony, and the advisory panel of the American Heart Association.

Lisa Alexander, M.D., earned a master's degree in business administration from Rollins College, a medical doctorate degree from American University in St. Maarten and a bachelor of science degree in physiology from the University of Florida. She began her career at Parrish Medical Center (PMC) in 2004 as director of People Development and Medical Staff Services and was promoted to vice president of Medical Affairs in 2006.
Under her leadership as director of People Development and Medical Staff Services, Dr. Alexander led the diabetes education program to achieve The Joint Commission disease-specific certification in 2005. She also streamlined the continuing medical education (CME) program for physicians earning PMC a four-year CME accreditation from the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Alexander developed and implemented a nurse assistant (NA) training program at PMC that allowed individuals to enhance their education and obtain employment as nursing assistants.
As a member of the senior executive team, Dr. Alexander provides leadership expertise and administrative oversight to various medical staff and physician committees.
Some of her recent achievements include Brevard Public Schools Business Partner of the Year for Titusville and Astronaut High Schools and the Business Recognition Award from Brevard Workforce Development Board, Inc.
Dr. Alexander belongs to several organizations and boards throughout Brevard County including Junior Achievement board of directors, Astronaut High School Health Sciences Academy, Leadership Brevard, Florida Hospital Association, Florida Society for Healthcare Education and Training, American Society for Training & Development, National Association Medical Staff Services, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Medical Women's Association, partner to City of Titusville for Student Advisory Council and Youth Leadership.

Edwin Loftin serves as Vice President of Nursing at Parrish Medical Center, voted America's #1
Healing Hospital for three straight years. Mr. Loftin is a progressive senior healthcare executive
who cultivates a culture of loving care and patient-centered excellence.
Mr. Loftin advocates a healing environment that assures "perfect care" and enhances evidence-based
nursing care. Under his leadership, the medical center:
- continues to rank among the best in the nation relative to CMS core quality measures and patient and employee satisfaction
- has earned an additional three Joint Commission Disease-specific certifications bringing the hospital's total disease-specific certifications to seven in the areas of Palliative Care, Breast Cancer, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Diabetes, Primary Stroke, Wound, and Heart Failure
- has significantly reduced nurse vacancy and turnover rates
- has facilitated partnerships with UCF and BCC for clinical programs
Mr. Loftin's community service includes serving as a member of the board for the Space Coast
Chapter of the American Red Cross as well as on their finance committee, and serving as the
United Way of Brevard Employee Campaign Manager. Mr. Loftin is also a graduate of LEAD Brevard,
a Leadership and Community Development organization for Brevard County's business and civic
community. He leads and serves on numerous hospital committees focused on process improvement
and service excellence.
Mr. Loftin earned his Master's of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University
and his Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, North
Carolina. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the
American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Mr. Loftin is also an invited speaker on both the national and local levels discussing such
topics as service excellence and community-centered healing care.
Prior to joining Parrish Medical Center in 2007, Edwin served as vice president of Patient
Care Services at Carteret County General Hospital (CGH) in Morehead City, North Carolina.
