July Sleep Support Group

Do you suffer from sleep problems or have a family member or friend who suffers from it? If so, you are encouraged to attend this support group meeting on Monday, July 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Parrish Healthcare Center at Port St. John, 5005 Port St. John Parkway (east of the I-95 Port St. John exit). The meetings are held in the Conference Center by the south entrance (near the sleep lab). This is a free community service. Please call 321-268-6408 to register.

Do you have insomnia? Let’s face it! We could all benefit from some sleep and stress management tips. We wake up tired, go to work and get stressed out; we leave work stressed out and then we get home, try to relax and get some sleep. But because we’re so wired and stressed from work, we can’t get enough quality sleep. And this happens each and every day. Sooner or later—but most times sooner—our health isn’t what it used to be, we go to the doctor more often, we lack energy, vitality, and we start relying on coffee and stimulants to keep us going or pills to help us sleep. Is this how you want to live your life? If not, you need to learn some new skills to help you cope with stress and sleep better. — Presented by Helen Duane LCSW, Behavioral Therapist.

At every A.W.A.K.E. Support Group meeting you’ll have the opportunity to see newer model CPAP machines and masks and receive a free mask fitting if you’d like.
