News Releases
Jess Parrish Medical
Foundation (JPMF) has announced the law firm of GrayRobinson, P.A. as the
presenting sponsor for this year’s “A Night of Haunted Elegance” Benefit Gala
on Friday, October 26, 2012, from 8:00 pm to midnight at La Cita Country Club
in Titusville.
Proceeds from the
gala will benefit The Children’s Center and cancer care programs at Parrish
Medical Center.
“Our law firm has been built by giving back to the communities in which we
live and work. In this case The Children’s Center is an amazing asset for the
vulnerable children of our Central Florida community and especially for the Space
Coast. The Parrish
Medical Center
cancer program also provides much needed cancer care and services for the
citizens of North Brevard county and Central Florida.
It is our privilege to be able to give back in this way,” said William A. Boyles,
shareholder at GrayRobinson, P.A.
Guests attending
this year’s costume ball will experience a night full of spooks and surprises,
and those dressed in a formal costume will have a chance to win $1,000 in the
costume contest. While guests are indulging in delicious delights, they will
also experience a ghostly waltz from Titusville’s
Downtown Dance Studio and the mysterious magic of Todd Bogue.
Event co-chairs,
Kelley Broome and Lisa Mathews, agree that “The ‘La Cita Legend’ sets the tone
for this year’s gala.” The legend is told of a plantation property in Titusville,
Florida that is passed down through
family generations and ends in the hands of the last heir, a woman. The
mistress of the mansion always flaunted her good fortune, throwing lavish parties,
until the entire family and staff suffer a mysterious death. Now, she refuses
to accept her fate to cross to the other side, so she continues to host
elaborate parties night after night and keeps her staff trapped in this world.
This night, October 26, guests are invited to her All Hallow’s Eve gala where
one guest will break the mistress’ spell and free the staff forever.
The underwriting
committee has secured sponsorships from numerous other community members and
organizations. As a “Temptation” level sponsor, Jon’s Fine Jewelry in Cocoa
Village has graciously
donated an 18k criss cross black and white diamond fashion ring valued at
$5,000. Guests who treat themselves to the “Spell Breaker,” a signature
bubbling cocktail, will have a chance to win the spectacular diamond ring.
“I’ve been a
sponsor for the past three years and each year the event surpasses my
expectations. I had no doubt that I wanted to be a sponsor again this year. I’m
looking forward to this exciting event that will benefit so many people in our
community,” said Jon Miller of Jon’s Fine Jewelry.
Other sponsors at
the time of this release include: “Desire” sponsors, Bill and Ashley
Byrne/Edward Jones and the Titusville Ladies Club; “Temptation” sponsors,
Brevard Indo-American Medical and Dental Association, Boggs Gases, Dr. Greg and
Lori Gullikson, and N. Christine Sylvester; and “Illusion” sponsors, La
Cita Golf and Country Club, Morgan Stanley, Team Health Anesthesia and Parrish
Anesthesia Specialists, and Wells Fargo. Invaluable media sponsors include:
Brevard Business News, FLORIDA
TODAY and SCB Marketing. Promotional photography donated by
photoARTworks.us. Other generous sponsors will be recognized at the ball.
“We are so
grateful to all of our sponsors, many of which continue to support us year
after year. The sponsors will help make a real difference in the lives of
countless children and cancer patients who will directly benefit from this
year’s gala,” said Richard Boggs, immediate past chairman, JPMF board of
directors, and underwriting chairman of the gala committee.
Event co-chairs are Chris and Kelley Broome, and Dr. Biju and Lisa
Mathews. Other committee members are Richard Boggs, Ashley Byrne, Tara
Edginton, Betty Greene, Lisa McAlpine, Ali Miller, Katherine Musick, Barbara
Terhune, Misty Wilson and Holly Woolsey. The event design and production is
being done by Christina Brown of Stina Bee Marketing and Events.
General admission tickets to the ball may be purchased for $100 per person.
Additional sponsorships are available starting at $350. Space is limited.
