Interest is what drives donor involvement with any kind of giving — be it time, talent, or treasure. Gifts in action explains why others have chosen to support Parrish Medical Center's health initiatives and how gifts are being used to improve health in our community. Jess Parrish Medical Foundation’s generous supporters have provided funding for the following programs and services in our community.
-
The Parrish Health Village which will combine evidence-based healing design with historic preservation to create a first-of-its-kind healing environment for older adults.
-
Parrish Senior Consultation Center where 3,000 patient visits yearly ensure our aging adults are maintaining healthy, independent lifestyles.
-
The Children’s Center where parents can seek help with numerous health, education and child development programs for their special needs or typically developing children under one roof.
-
The Children’s Center playground where more than 230 children play daily.
-
Mammograms for hundreds of women without the insurance to pay for it.
-
Diagnostic tools our physicians need to identify peripheral vascular disease as early as possible.
-
$15,000 annually in scholarship money to approximately 30 families to receive special services at The Children’s Center they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.
-
$15,000 annually in scholarship money to approximately 20 high school seniors pursing a degree in a human health-related field.
The role of the foundation is to support PMC by matching an individual's charitable interests with the needs of the hospital and the North Brevard community. While many benefactors give to support the hospital's greatest needs, we are happy to talk to you about other needs and ways you can make a difference in the health and quality of life of our community.
