Parrish Medical Center Offers FREE Blood Sugar Screenings
Recognizing
National Diabetes Awareness Month and helping our community stay healthy
Diabetes is an ever growing disease. Currently more that
25.8 million children and adults in the United States—8.3 percent of the
population—have diabetes. In Brevard County alone, 8.8 percent of the
population has this chronic condition. Diabetes can lead to serious
complications and premature death.
In recognition of
National Diabetes Awareness Month, FREE blood sugar screenings will be offered
by the Parrish Medical Center Diabetes Education Department on November 5, 6
and 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. No appointment is necessary. Just stop by
their new location: 7075 Highway US1, Suite 300, Port St. John, Florida 32927.
