News Releases
Parrish Medical Center has been recognized as one of America’s most
customer-friendly hospitals by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers
(AAHCP) for the spring quarter of 2012.
PMC
is one of only 10 hospitals nationwide to earn AAHCP’s “Hospital of
Choice” Award. It marks the second time AAHCP has recognized PMC for this
honor. PMC earned this recognition in 2009 and again in 2012. Winning hospitals
are selected based on a secret review of a facility's performance in customer
service, public communication and good citizenship. Awards were presented on
June 29 in Washington, D.C. AAHCP evaluates approximately 400 hospitals around the
nation each quarter for consideration of this award.
“We continuously
search for facilities that are passionate about delivering compassionate
care," said R. Vincent Parr, AAHCP president. "The goal of the AAHCP
continues to be to help consumers make educated decisions about the quality of
their healthcare."
“This honor is a
reflection of the more than 1,300 PMC care partners (employees, volunteers and
physicians) who dedicate their lives to fulfilling our mission of providing
healing experiences to everyone all the time,” said PMC President/CEO George
Mikitarian.
AAHCP has hosted
the Hospital of Choice Awards since 2002. For further information, please
