World’s Greatest Baby Shower

Coming Saturday, May 1 - Annual event to be held at The Children’s Center in Titusville

The best gift you can give an expectant or new mother is to bring her to the World's Greatest Baby Shower, Saturday, May 1 — communities working together to promote healthy babies and healthy mothers. This annual event will be held at The Children's Center, 5650 South Washington Avenue, Titusville. The free event will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and targets all new and expectant parents, including adoptive parents.  

The World's Greatest Baby Shower offers educational exhibits and helpful presentations by healthcare and other children’s experts, plus light refreshments and plenty of door prizes. Topics this year are “Make Your Own Baby Food,” offered by Beth Shephard, University of Florida Extension Agent/IFAS Brevard County Extension; “Diabetes in Children” by Omar Hudson, MD, pediatric endocrinologist with MIMA; “Drowning Prevention/Water Safety” by Gayle Whitworth, University of Florida Extension Agent/IFAS Brevard County Extension; and “Ask A Doc” panel with a lactation specialist, midwife, anesthesiologist and pediatrician. Over 40 informational booths showcasing agencies or merchants will offer their services to young families with soon-to-be newborns or infants under two years old.
