Executive Chef Christopher Geno, who goes by Geno, was welcomed to Parrish Medical
Center in April. Anyone who’s had the opportunity to eat lunch in PMC’s Atrium Café
has tasted Geno’s touch in some of the new menu items that have been added to the
lunch theme cuisine, like the chicken souvlaki salad or chicken bruschetta knife and fork
sandwich. Geno also works closely with the hospital dietitians to ensure patients’ nutritional
meal needs are met.
Good food and good food preparation are a big part of Geno’s history. Before becoming
a PMC care partner, he spent 13 years with Walt Disney World working in a variety of
restaurants, including The California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando.
More recently, Geno was with the Brio Tuscan Grille in Winter Park and was executive
chef for the Church Street Station restaurants in downtown Orlando.
Geno works through PMC’s food partner, Sodexo, and earned his culinary arts degree
from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, R.I.
